The alpaca fur needs very little

Alpaca fiber has antimicrobial properties and does not need to be washed frequently – two Orr three times per season is sufficient.

How to take care of your Alpaca Garments

Baby alpaca fiber is one of the finest and most delicate in the world. With proper care, your garments will last for decades, passed down trough generations as true textile heirlooms.

01

Hand Wash Ony

Use cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C / 86°F).

Add a mild detergent or gentle shampoo.

Soak for 15–20 minutes.

Gently press — do not rub or twist.

Rinse thoroughly.

Lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.

Reshape while damp.

02

Flat Drying

Lay the garment flat on clean surface, reshaping it before it dries. Never hang it, the weight stretches the fiber and distorts the shape.

03

Gentle Ironing

If necessary, iron on the lowest setting using a damp cloth as a barrier. Alpaca does not tolerate direct heat or heavy steam.

04

Avoid Direct Sunlight

Always dry in the shade. Prolonged sun exposure fades natural pigments and weakens the fine over time.

05

Proper Storage

Storage folded, never on a hanger. Use fabric bags with lavender or cedar to protect against moths. Avoid plastic covers.
