Meet our cooks
Single mothers from the Sacred Valley work in our kitchen and cook tasty meals.
In the communities close to Urubamba (Yanahuara), single mothers have few to no work opportunities, having to take care of their children, which has significant consequences on them, and on their children’s education as well.
AMA provides them with professional training and job opportunities. If you pay a close attention, you might also see their children play on AMA’s playground during the day.

How does AMA contribute with the restaurant?
Healthy homemade cuisine that feeds the heart and soul.
All the products we use to cook are locally-sourced and locally-grown. We buy our product from the market in the center of Urubamba, where local farmers and producers sell their goods from the Andean land. It allows us to be fair, sustainable, and to support the economy of the Sacred Valley.
