Volunteering at AMA is about more than helping — it’s about connection, exchange, and shared purpose.

We welcome people from all over the world who want to contribute their skills while learning alongside our community. Depending on your background, you may support projects in various fields, including design, photography, video, coding, hospitality, communication, and more. Your time and energy help strengthen a project rooted in dignity, creativity, and real social impact.

Spanish is useful, especially for building a connection with our restaurant staff. However, it is not required. Many volunteers work in English. We do encourage everyone to learn some basic Spanish during their stay, as it will enrich both your experience and the relationships you build here.

4. What kind of accommodation does AMA offer?

Volunteers stay in (shared) accommodation within AMA. The accommodation is simple. You have access to basic facilities and shared common areas. 

We choose to house a limited number of volunteers at a time. This allows us to maintain a close, collaborative atmosphere and ensure that every volunteer feels supported and truly integrated into the project. We have room for three volunteers.

Most volunteers stay between 4 and 6 weeks.

We generally ask for a minimum commitment of 4 weeks. This ensures continuity in our projects and allows you to fully experience life at AMA. Longer stays are always encouraged, as they create a deeper impact and stronger connections within the community.
